CSS Frameworks: Starting Off On The Right Foot.
The CSS Tinderbox is just one of the many sites geared towards supporting CSS-based web design by providing basic, open source frameworks that people can use as a starting point for their own templates. The framework can be used as a head start instead of starting everything from scratch again and again.
In a nut shell the framework consists of an HTML file and an external stylesheet. The included markup and styles are just the bare-bones needed to lay out the overall structure with a generic look. Just enough to get you started.
The frameworks and open source templates that are found here can be taken and used in any way seen fit for either commercial or personal use.
The Guy Behind It.
My name is Raymond Krause and I've been creating websites for the past twelve years with the last five of those years spent as a professional web producer and designer for a quality-related company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I've also done freelance web work for about the same amount of time too.
I'm proud to say that I'm self-taught at what I do and always look forward to having an excuse to learn new techniques in both web design and illustration. I tend to gravitate towards simplicity when it comes to web design and strongly believe in web standards and accessibility. And yes, I firmly beleive that Internet Explorer is a terrible browser. Shame on you Microsoft.
I accept small to medium-sized freelance projects so if you're interested in my work and you'd like more information on what I can do for you, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Use Your Voice Comrade!
If you'd like to contribute to the CSS Tinderbox through a guest article or two on any web-related subject, by all means, let me know so I can work it into the flow. At least it just wound't be me ranting and raving up here.
